Adult ADHD Evaluation, Diagnosis & Treatment — Telehealth in Maine
New patients: what to expect
The whole process, start to finish, with nothing hidden. Most people go from first contact to a real plan in a few weeks.
Before you start, check three things
- You’re 18 or older. This practice sees adults only.
- You’ll be in Maine for your appointments. Telehealth rules require you to be physically located in Maine at the time of each visit. Vacations and travel happen; just mention scheduling around them.
- You have a private spot and an internet connection. A phone, tablet, or computer with a camera is all the technology you need.
Not sure ADHD is even the question? Take the free 2-minute ADHD screener — six questions, anonymous, nothing stored.
The path, step by step
A free 15-minute phone call
We talk through your questions and next steps, and I screen for anything that would make this the wrong fit. No referral needed. No commitment.
Intake, MindMetrix & Creyos, from home
Secure intake forms, consent documents (including telehealth consent), the MindMetrix prescreen, and Creyos cognitive testing, all on your own schedule.
The 90-minute evaluation
A structured clinical interview by secure video covering your full history. Results are reviewed at your next visit, not in this one.
Results & treatment alignment
A 30 to 45 minute visit to go through what the testing showed and what it means, and decide next steps together.
Helpful to have (none required)
- Old report cards or teacher comments — childhood patterns help tell the story.
- Prior evaluations or records — anything from earlier providers or testing.
- A list of current medications — doses included, if you know them.
- An observer’s view — a family member or old friend willing to fill out a short questionnaire. These sharpen the picture; their absence doesn’t block it.
Privacy note: all intake forms and health information go through a secure, HIPAA-compliant patient platform, never through plain email or this website. If you ever need to reach the practice between visits, use the secure patient portal rather than emailing health details.

A free 15-minute phone call — describe what’s going on, and I’ll tell you honestly whether an evaluation makes sense.
This office does not provide emergency psychiatric services and is not a crisis line. If you ever feel unsafe, call 911, go to your nearest emergency department, or call or text 988. The Maine Crisis Line is also available at 1-888-568-1112. No provider-patient relationship is established until after the evaluation and mutual agreement by both parties to proceed with care.
