Adult ADHD Evaluation, Diagnosis & Treatment — Telehealth in Maine

Terms & Conditions

Effective date: July 25, 2026

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of maineadhdclinic.com (“the website”), operated by Maine ADHD Clinic (“the practice,” “we,” “us”). By using the website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website; you are always welcome to contact the practice instead at office@maineadhdclinic.com.

1. The website is information, not medical care

Everything on this website, including service descriptions, blog articles, and the questions-and-answers page, is general educational information about the practice and about ADHD. It is not medical advice, is not tailored to your situation, and is not a substitute for evaluation, diagnosis, or treatment by a licensed clinician. Do not start, stop, or change any medication or treatment based on website content alone.

2. No provider-patient relationship through this website

Reading this website, submitting the callback form, emailing, or leaving a voicemail does not make you a patient and does not create a provider-patient relationship. A provider-patient relationship is established only after you complete intake, consent to treatment, and are accepted as a patient of the practice.

3. Not for emergencies

This website, the callback form, and the practice’s phone and email are not emergency services and are not monitored continuously. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency or thinking about harming yourself or someone else, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), call 911, or go to your nearest emergency department.

4. Who the practice serves

Maine ADHD Clinic provides telehealth psychiatric services to adults 18 years and older who are physically located in the State of Maine at the time of each appointment. Nothing on this website is an offer to provide care to minors, to individuals located outside Maine, or in any jurisdiction where the practice’s clinician is not licensed.

5. About medication and treatment claims

All treatment decisions, including whether any medication is appropriate, are made only after a comprehensive clinical evaluation and in accordance with applicable state and federal law, which may change over time. Nothing on this website is a promise or guarantee of any diagnosis, prescription, medication, or outcome. Descriptions of treatments reflect general clinical evidence, not guaranteed individual results.

6. Telehealth

Care is delivered by secure video. Before treatment begins, patients receive and consent to a telehealth informed-consent document through the intake process, covering how telehealth works, its benefits and limitations, technology requirements, and privacy safeguards. Website content about telehealth is informational and does not replace that consent process.

7. Using the website

You agree to use the website lawfully and not to: attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems; interfere with the website’s operation; submit false information through the callback form; use automated tools to scrape, harvest, or bulk-download content for commercial purposes; or use the website to transmit malware or spam. We may restrict access to protect the website and its users.

8. Callback form submissions

When you submit the callback request form, you agree that the information you provide is accurate and yours to provide, and you consent to the practice contacting you by the phone number or email you supplied for scheduling purposes. The form is not for health information; please keep clinical details for your visit or the secure patient platform. Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply to calls and texts.

9. Intellectual property

The content, design, text, graphics, logo, and articles on this website belong to Maine ADHD Clinic and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may view, download, and print pages for personal, non-commercial use. Republishing, redistributing, or commercial use of website content requires prior written permission. Brief quotations with attribution and a link are welcome.

10. Third-party links and services

The website links to external resources such as crisis lines, government health agencies, and research organizations, and may link to third-party scheduling or patient-portal platforms. Those sites are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices, and a link is not an endorsement.

11. Disclaimers

The website is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, the practice disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and does not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Medical knowledge evolves; while we work to keep content current and date-stamp time-sensitive information, we do not guarantee that every page reflects the newest research or regulation at every moment.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Maine ADHD Clinic and its clinician shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website or its informational content. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, and nothing in these Terms affects the professional obligations owed to established patients within the provider-patient relationship.

13. Billing transparency

The practice is private-pay and does not bill insurance. Fees are published on the Fees & Payment page, and every new patient receives a written Good Faith Estimate of expected charges as described on the Good Faith Estimate page, consistent with the federal No Surprises Act.

14. Accessibility

We aim to keep this website accessible to everyone, targeting WCAG 2.1 AA. Details, known limitations, and how to request content in an accessible format are on the Accessibility Statement page.

15. Privacy

Website privacy practices are described in the Privacy Policy. Patient health information is governed by the Notice of Privacy Practices. If these Terms and those documents ever conflict regarding information handling, the privacy documents control.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version, with its effective date, will always be posted on this page. Continued use of the website after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.

18. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maine, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from use of the website shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Maine.

19. Practice identification

Maine ADHD Clinic is operated by Audrey Farley, PMHNP-BC, a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and licensed by the Maine State Board of Nursing. Telehealth services are provided to patients located in Maine.
